Remembering RevaLucian
Fierce fat activist Heather MacAllister died Feb. 13, 2007, after a three-year battle with ovarian cancer. She was 38. The founder and artistic director of Big Burlesque and the Fat-Bottom Revue in San Francisco performed onstage as RevaLucian. The Metro-Detroit native also dedicated her life to anti-racism work and helped inspire anti-size discrimination legislation passed into law in 2000 in San Francisco.
Heather wished to start a fund to help fat college students afford fabulous fashions. Please make checks out to "Cullum Law Trust - MacAllister Scholarship Account MacAllister" and mail to: Cullum Law Offices, 1390 Market St., Suite 818, San Francisco, CA 94102.
